The Coalition welcomes the agreement between Western Australia and the Commonwealth on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Today’s announcement ensures that Australians with disability in every jurisdiction will be part of the NDIS.
Premier Barnett has always supported the NDIS and is to be congratulated for persisting in negotiations with the Commonwealth to reach a conclusion.
The Federal Coalition has strongly supported each milestone on the road to the NDIS.
It is imperative to get the roll out of the NDIS right.
The bipartisan NDIS parliamentary oversight committee instigated by the Federal Coalition will play an important role in ensuring the Productivity Commission’s vision for a better deal for Australians with disability is realised.
